In my role as a digital content and features writer I was responsible for pitching and producing multimedia stories for every Newsquest website in the south of England. 

Turning around high quality content with a local angle that would be widely engaging to a range of audiences was key to my role. Being self-reliant, thriving under pressure, working to quick deadlines and liaising directly with editors across newsrooms was a  daily part of my job. 

I attended a number of private training seminars provided by the BBC including a week long data journalism course to ensure I was on top of emerging programming and able to dig for stories and present them in a visually interesting and engaging way.
