With a passion for storytelling and a dogged determination to uncover the truth,  my time at the Bournemouth Daily Echo allowed me to run a number of investigations. From illegal dog breeding to bed-blocking and pressure at NHS hospitals, to Grenfell-style cladding on high-rise buildings and a taking a deep-dive into MPs expenses I was able to get stuck into politics of the area. 

Alongside my investigative work I came prepared with a constant stream of daily stories gathered using an array of tools including my forward planner, social media, contacts and submitting FOI's. 

I managed the group's Instagram page and uploaded daily 'stories' to all social media channels. I also ran live blogs on breaking stories and frequently used Facebook Live to report on the scene.

During my time at the Bournemouth Daily Echo I was frequently the top performing local newsroom reporter with my stories regularly gaining more than 1,000,000 views per month.
