Interviewing the campaigner for IVF Fairness

On Thursday I met Dr Emily Scott, or as many know her @ivffairness

Campaign branding by James Bridge

Since starting out on this project, Visibility for Infertility, I had seen and heard a lot about Emily's campaign to end the IVF postcode lottery in the UK.

So I started following Emily's accounts on social media, @ivffairness, at the start of October. I got a sense of what her and husband Ben were calling for and the amount of hours they were putting into their campaigning.

Then, I saw interviews with Emily across the internet just before our government adjourned for the election campaigning - their petition had only been given a 24 hour warning to reach 10,000 signatures.

Thankfully, through tireless campaigning and sharing across the internet their invaluable petition reached 10,000.

I wanted to catch up with Emily after this to find out more about this process, why she started the petition and what she was aiming to do once parliament reopened again.
